The Luxman (Luxkit) A2500 was originally offered in the 1970s as a kit power amplifier, prized for its compact size and pure tube sound. This unit has been carefully restored and upgraded, with a rare conversion to 5188 output tubes, giving it a new sonic character and extended life compared to the original design. The 5188 is a "ruggedized" version of the 6L6WGB. Other 6L6 tubes can be used, but not without re-biasing and other adjustments due to higher power draw.
This is a 100-volt unit from Japan. An external power converter is INCLUDED.
